A Special Service for the New Year

This past Saturday, January 9th, was a special day for us as Josep Monells, founder of Agape in Spain, received the Medal of the Evangelical Council of Catalunya along with Juan Antonio Alvarez and Narisco Núñez in recognition and gratitude for their ongoing labor of getting the message of the gospel out.

This acknowledgement began in 1997 with the First Protestant Congress of Catalunya. This entity organized a special event to honor people who, during their entire lives, have served God, making the gospel known. It was this event that inspired the creation of the medal and it has been awarded each year since then.

During the moving event, presided over by Daniel Giralt-Miracle, with special music from Raquel Rodríguez, we were challenged by Noemi Cortes, President of the IBEC, to give hope through the preaching of the gospel.

All of the staff in attendance were able to express love and gratitude to Josep and Josepa for their lifetime of dedication and service to God.
